2/11/2022 0 Comments NaNoWriMo - day 2![]() Another excellent day working on NaNoWriMo 2022. I had less time today, but pushed myself to aim for a similar word count as yesterday in the limited time and it worked! Which shows that when you know what you need to write and have the plot worked out your brain, the storyteller, simply takes over.

![]() If you're looking for my 'day one' entry for NaNoWriMo then you'll need to return a little later tonight because I have had an absolute corker of a writing day, but have every intention of doing another hour later tonight. Sorry, I know you are eager to support me, but you'll have to return later. You won't be disappointed with my word count because these nifty fingers have being flying across the keyboard. I am loving my new Christmas book! Update: 3,344 words today - every one was a pleasure to type. What a great start to a month of writing! One of the many joys of being an author is getting to sign your book and surprise readers. Today, whilst nipping through Tamworth, I dropped into The Works in Ankerside Shopping centre to have a nosey and see if they have any of my books in stock. They did 'Sunny Stays at the Shetland Hotel' book 3 in the series was on the shelf. I had a little count and a little shuffle around of the display shelf - naughty, but hey, all authors do it to make our own book look great!
Anyway, I asked the member of staff how many he had in total? He explained that they get different numbers for each book but he'd check the stock for me - he had 8 in total. I then came clean and explained that I was the author of the book I was pointing at and he asked me to sign each copy. Woop woop! Happy days, I love it when that happens! So reader, I did. In return, I gave him a pile of my freebie Erin Green coasters (coffee, milk, gin, beer, wine - suitable for whatever your poison may be, to give to customers. So if you need an Erin Green book 3 for your collection and are passing The Works in Tamworth nip inside - you might be lucky and find a signed one. P.s. I put a different message inside each and signed them 'love from Erin and The Work, Tamworth!' |
