With a few days remaining, here's an update on my CampNaNoWrimo project, 'Untitled'. As you can see, I'm still be sensible with my daily writing. I expect I'll write a little over my goal by the 31st.
This block of 30,000 words will finish my first draft for this particular book, so what's the next step. Editing. Beginning on 1st August. First task, a spell check session to wheedle out those pesky typos. Secondly, I'll 'tidy' my manuscript ensuring the basics of headings, dates, first line alignments are correct. It might be a first draft but I like a tidy document - a shambolic manuscript is a pet hate of mine.
August has been set aside for a full read through, note taking and additional info and to start editing.
Editing isn't my favourite task. I've learnt to make the process more 'enjoyable' rather than the slog it once was by listening an learning from other authors.
