Writing retreat!!!!!

Yay, it's Friday! I have a new desk and a new view which means only one thing ... writing retreat!!! I've arrived for a three day retreat to focus upon my Shetland Book 4 (my NaNo project).

My weekend goal is 10,000 words. I'll do the best I can in the time allowed between the tutored sessions and eating! Seriously, the food is very good here! And, I'll be honest while posting as the weekend pans out. I've snapped my starting photos, so ... there's nothing else to say other than, woo hoo, writing retreat!

After a weekend away, I was a fair bit off my weekend goal. I managed to write 7,031 words during the retreat rather than the 10,000 words I was aiming for. I'll blame an unexpected research session which happened during my writing time plus, a Saturday night spent in the bar amongst gorgeous authors who make for good company! There, I'm honest.

This morning, I hit my NaNoWeiMo goal in an effort to make up on my writing retreat short fall. 50,670 words done and dusted! I'll keep writing until the 30th November and see what I can achieve!
